When reporting a problem, it helps to include the app version (shown in the About panel), your macOS or iOS version, and — if a particular tune is involved — which format it is.
.4v songs.How do I open music?
Use Open in the app, drag files or a folder onto the window, or double-click a module in Finder or the Files app. On iOS you can also copy files into the app through the Files app.
Why can't the app see my music folder on its own?
The app is sandboxed and can only read files you explicitly hand it. This is deliberate — it needs no broad access to your disk in order to play a tune. Once you have opened a file it is remembered in your playlist across launches.
My Quartet song sounds wrong or won't load.
Quartet songs need their instrument set. Keep the .4v file together with the .set file it belongs to — often a shared SMP.set for a whole folder of songs.
Does the app play in the background?
Yes on iOS. Playback continues when the screen is off.
Does it need an internet connection?
No. The app has no networking code at all and works entirely offline.
